How much does a studio session cost?
Studio-only day sessions start from €280/day (excl. VAT). Pricing depends on the room and package — see the full list on the Packages page.
How much does the residential package cost, and what is included?
Residential (stay + studio) packages start from €450/day. They include on-site accommodation and studio time — for example the Diamond package is €949 for 2 days. See special offers for full package details.
Is there a real Steinway, and what other gear do you have?
Yes — the live room is built around a 1915 Steinway D-274 grand piano. The studio also runs a DDA S-Series discrete analog console with custom Class A preamps, microphones and outboard from Neumann, Brauner, Universal Audio, Manley and Maselec, plus a Mac Studio (M4 Pro) running the latest Pro Tools, Logic Pro and Audition.
Can artists sleep at the studio?
Yes. Ursa Major is a residential recording studio — you can stay on site for the duration of your session as part of the residential packages, rather than commuting from a hotel.
How do I get there from Milan or Malpensa, and how much is the transfer?
The studio is on Lake Orta, about 50 minutes from Milan Malpensa airport (MXP). Pickup for 5 people plus instruments is available from Malpensa, Arona, Domodossola or Novara for €50 one-way / €100 return; other pickup points on request.

Sì — la sala di ripresa è costruita attorno a un pianoforte a coda Steinway D-274 del 1915. Lo studio dispone anche di una console analogica discreta DDA S-Series con preamplificatori Class A custom, microfoni e outboard Neumann, Brauner, Universal Audio, Manley e Maselec, e di un Mac Studio (M4 Pro) con Pro Tools, Logic Pro e Audition aggiornati.
Si può dormire in studio?
Sì. Ursa Major è un residential recording studio: con i pacchetti residenziali si può soggiornare in loco per tutta la durata della sessione, senza bisogno di un hotel esterno.
